Conflict Management
The course
This course will provide you with tools to understand, meet, solve and prevent conflicts. Unsolved conflicts drain your energy. You lose control and track of things. Conflicts might bring out the worst in you, in your mind and in your actions. In this course we see conflicts as disagreements, resulting in tension in and between people.
You can increase your self-knowledge and obtain more understanding and impact in conflicts.
Goals
Among other things, the course will give you insight into:
- To understand that behind every conflict there a dream and desire for something better
- An expanded insight into the nature of the conflict and the system of situations and human relations in which conflicts take place
- Insight into how conflicts escalate and de-escalate
- Training in the use of equal communication
- Knowledge of how dialogue and reconciliation are used in a conflict
- A number of specific tools to prevent conflicts
- An understanding of how personal identity and conflict experience are inextricably bound up with each other
Contens
The course alternates between brief, theoretical presentations and many practical exercises, where we practice the above-mentioned topics, through special role playing, among other things. The recipe is: action, exploration and understanding. The teacher creates a safe room for this curious exploration and for training of the new skills.
Target group
Anyone who is interested in and ready to take an active part in contributing to conflict solution in a safe and instructive environment based on own disagreements from the workplace.
Course duration
Two days from 9 am to 4 pm.
