Coaching - Basic Tools and Techniques

The course
A course that will give you basic insight into and understanding of coaching as a tool. The many practical exercises will help you develop your own personal coaching style, and the feedback from both teacher and fellow course participants is worth its weight in gold.

Goals
You will get a thorough introduction to coaching through theoretical presentations and practical exercises, which will enable you to develop yourself and others.

Contens
Among other things, the course will give you insight into:

  • The simple coaching structure
  • The coaching agreement
  • Prerequisites for coaching
  • Motivation strategies
  • Persons in the coaching relation
  • Efficient communication
  • Interviewing technique
  • Feedback
  • Goal-oriented personal action plans 

Main focus is on practical coaching exercises. All exercises are carried out in groups of three persons: a coach, a focus person and an active observer.  Prior to commencement of the course you are asked to define a personal goal in which you wish to be coached during the course. This is a very important element as to how much benefit you will get from the course.

Target group
Anyone who needs an introduction to coaching and thus the basic tools within coaching.

Course duration
A two-day intensive course from 9 am to 4 pm.
